In SHIVER, Maggie Stiefvater creates a fantasy world that is completely believable and brilliant. The characters, Sam and Grace, are extremely loveable, however, it seems that we get to see a little more of Sam’s life than Grace’s. Most likely this is because of the fact that Grace is a normal girl who mostly stays home and goes to school whereas Sam is living two lives – in the winter he is completely different than he is in the warm months. Sam’s back story is heart-wrenching and you’ll continue to hold out hope that he gets a happy ending.

I am like totally IN LOVE with Shiver. I really like the fact that it isn’t just your typical boy meets girl romance novel. It’s a very interesting story that combines romance with fantasy. Shiver is a book that really made me appreciate what I have and I really admired Sam’s determination. Also the way Maggie Stiefvater describes Sam makes it seem normal for shapeshifters to exist in modern day life. I think that it is an AMAZING book that I would recommed to anyone who likes the Twilight Saga, The Vampire Diaries, Romance or Fantasy/supernatural novels. 10/10

This book has to be one of my most favourite books! I got it on a whim, and couldnt put it down- it actually made me cry like a baby when i thought grace had lost sam for good. It kept my heart racing and the ending is perfect!

I loved reading this book. Sam and Grace are two amazing characters that struggle to stay together even though Sam faces turning into a wolf forever.The whole aspect of wolves by winter and human by summer is a believable concept in todays world. Maggie Stiefvater does a wonderful job showing a conflicting love between a human and a wolf. I desperately hope that Sam and Grace get their happy ever after .

Shiver is a beautiful fantasy book that Maggie Stiefvater has brought to us. She weaves the tale of romance to intermingle it with a girl’s every day life, while including the two very different life styles of a boy during the warm and cold months. A great book to read and cuddle up with when bored or you just have time. I would recommend this book to anyone that would be willing to listen. Definitely a five out of five stars to Shiver.

The book Shiver is one of the few books that almost anyone can sink into and escape to, it has evrything you want to read from the supernatural to the romance, I would recomend this book to my friends and family.
Shiver is a beautiful mix of Fantasy and realistic romance. Maggie Stiefvater creates a world that draws even the most practically minded people into its grasp, two pages and your thrown full heartedly into the story. Grace and Sam are so beautifully written, they are so well rounded and relateable, anyone can find some bit of their character to feel comfortable with. I couldn’t put this book down, I was constantly trying to figure out where Maggie was going to take Grace and Sam. From the beautiful imagery and language, Maggie creates a place that everyone is able to escape to. I recommend it to EVERYONE!

The book Shiver is one of my favorite books. I liked it more that the Twilight series, which I thought I liked the most. After reading Shiver, I can’t wait until the second book comes out. I loved the way it ended and want to fall in love with the supernatural romance again.

I love Twilight Saga series and am lookign for something new to read. This looks like it will be a great read….
Well I could lie and write a great review of the book, but the truth is that I haven’t read it. I’ve read the synopsis if it on Amazon and I’m very intriged by it. I’m a Twilight fan so the whole concept of a ‘mythical’ creature and a human love story it catch my attention very much. I wasn’t much of a reader before but for the past 3 or 4 years it’s become a passion of mine. I also own a few audiobooks cause is the best way to carry my favorite books with me in my iPod touch. Beside I love listening to audiobooks before I go to sleep at night. Back to shiver well this book and also linger it has been in my wish list on Amazon for a while now but I haven’t had the money yet to buy Shiver…but I definetly be getting it as soon as I get money. I do follow the author on reader and of course u guys. Hopefully I’ll be able to read it or listen to shiver soon and ofcourse get linger when it becomes available. Hope I get lucky and I finally get the chance to read this one and then get the second one cause I know it has good reviews and I cannot wait to get emerge in this whole world of Sam and Grace because for what I’ve read it’s a great love story

This book was very original and down to earth. The plot was not some outrageous or lame love story. It made me feel like that could actually happen. It was a unique view on the werewolf myth, had many good characters who had interesting personality developments, and was as realistic as a story about werewolves could be (if you know what I mean). All in all, Shiver was a well thought out story that inspires many feelings in the readers and makes them sympathetic with the characters. I am definitely looking forward to reading the sequels and the movies, as well as any other books written by Maggie Stiefvater.

Change is inevitable in life, and in Sam’s life…changing could mean never seeing Grace again. ‘Shiver’ tells the story of Sam and Grace, two people that know what real love is. Love is about accepting someone for who they are and protecting them at all costs. This book has romance, action, suspense and just the right amount of humor all in one. You will fall in love with this couple and will find yourself cheering for them all the way.

What drawn me most to Shiver was how Maggie tweaked the plot – werewolves shifting due to the cold totally disregards the ‘because of the moon’ convention – I love her for being so fresh! The book itself is refreshing in every way. The characters, for example, are so individualistic. Sam Roth has yellow eyes, Grace should but did not shift, Isabel is an arrogant but totally lovable girly girl – the list can go on. The voice, alternately Sam’s and Grace’s was delivered so delicately the emotions just grip you. And the romance? You kidding me? It made me bawl my eyes out and eye my garden like I could maybe find Sam there. Don’t let me get started with the ending – I’m totally head over heels in love with Shiver!

I reall enjoyed this book. I was never very passionate about the werewolf craze. And I never truly enjoyed romance but what Grace and Sam have was so real. It truly gave me shivers, I can’t wait for the second book. Maggie has truly created a realistic world that I enter into when I read. All my friends have read it and we’re counting the days until the sequel comes out.
Shiver is amazing. I loved that the book starts off when she’s younger… and Grace and Sam love each other without even knowing it. I can’t wait to read Linger!

Shiver’s a great book, the love and passion between Sam and Grace is lovely. I liked the way Maggie wrote Sam, mysterious, a really good man and a gentleman. I liked the whole story and where it takes place. They felt real!(though they’re not), Grace’s a good character too!…She didnt fear her wolf, even though she was bitten!…(I’d be terrify to approach to a wolf after what happen to her)….I wish i could have a boyfriend like Sam(without the werewolf thing)…I like to read a good book and Shiver’s a good book…Maggie you did a great job! I liked the way he wanted to respect her… BTW, my mouth was open and my eyes big when Sam and Grace…U guys know! i dnt have to write it, but thats when you know that he was being a gentleman but she didnt want him 2 and y’all know where it end…

Shiver is a book full of love, romance, and adventure. When Grace finds herself in a romance with a warewolf, which seems completely unreal to her, she falls head over heels for him. Sam is one of the wolves which live in a forest in northern Minnesota. The story takes place in Minnesota, most likely because of the varying temperatures, in the winter it gets very cold, so the warewolves change, but in the summer they become their human selves again.
Grace and sam learn things from eachother and most of all learn to love another more then they love themselves. This love is put to the test by the end, though, and Grace and sam need to save it. Read “Shiver” by Maggie Stiefvater to find out if Sam and Grace can get through everything, or if they’re time will run out.

Shiver is an awesome book. It was one of those books that I picked up and thought “Hey why not” and ended up being sucked into it. The style of writing and the way it flowed gave me some trouble about putting it down. I can’t wait for the next book to come out! I love those books that suck you in and make you feel like part of the story. This is definitely one of those books that does it!

Shiver is a great book with Romance and Fantasy. It’s different than many other teen fantasy books, which is nice for a change, I couldnt put it down! The Pov’s Switch back and forth between Grace and Sam and it’s fun to see what each one is thinking! It’s Definitly a book i will continously Reread over the years and would recommend to anyone who is into reading fantasy books!

I bought this book for my daughter. One day it was sitting by the couch and I thought I might read a little just to see how it was. I couldn’t put it down! We ended up sharing this book. I read while she was at school and she read it after homework….. we both LOVE the book and are eagerly awaiting the next. It had just the right mix of excitment, love, tenderness, thoughtfulness, life lessons to really fill out the story. I would LOVE to listen to this book as well and so would my daughter

You know an author has talent when they write a book and once you finish it, it’s literally all you can think about. Maggie created two characters that have tons of depth to them and are totally compatible together. Not to mention she includes this wonderful storyline that is addicting and compelling. She explains everything thoroughly, like how the wolves change only so many times before they stay wolf for the rest of their time on earth. And the fact that they change in the winter time, it’s a very specific fact but it keeps the novel going. That is what the novel revolves around is winter and seasons. The love between these two characters is built over 6 years and you follow them from the very beginning which keeps the reader involved. It’s not an easy read, you definitely need to pay attention to details, but one of the most amazing books I have on my book shelf right now. It’s my new favorite and I’m looking forward to Linger!

So I was going to be the 5th person to comment, but the site overloaded and yea… Anyways, I read “Shiver” around fall of last year from my school library and I literally couldn’t put it down, I read it overnight! I was in tears when I thought he wasn’t going to live or that they would never be together again! “Shiver” is amazingly well written and exactly what I look for when I want a good sci-fi read.
I’ve recommended it to several people and when they read it, they agree that it is one of the best books ever! I sadly don’t own a copy of the book since I rarely have money for books, so I would definately like to win a free audiobook of it! Also, I CAN’t wait for the sequel, “Linger”!!

shiver is a fantastic book about love and fanatsy. In the book there’s a girl named grace, who has loved the wolves outside her house, all because of that one time when she was little she was ripped from her swing and dragged out into the bush. During the book she meets sam, hes different but that only makes her love him more. In the book you discover love with a creater so dangerous, loss thats so painfull it aches to loose.

Shiver is a good read for those who love a fanstay with some love in it. We look thought the eyes of Grace (who is a local girl from Mercy’s falls) and Sam (A local boy from the town with a dark secert who form a friendship due to one thing: Wolves. This book kept me up most of the night as it was intresting to see something other than all the vampires novel out right, Good book to read 10/10

When Grace was a young girl, she was the victim of a freak wolf attack in the woods surrounding her home. She thought she was going to die, when one of the wolves, one with brilliant yellow eyes, fended the others off to protect her. Grace lived, and in the winters ever since her attack, she has always looked into the woods behind her house, always catching a glimpse of those same intense yellow eyes watching her, keeping her safe. Grace has been obsessed with the wolves ever since, always looking for her wolf. When another freak attack occurs in town, and the wolves kill a teenage boy, a hunting party is assembled to shoot the pack in the woods – and Grace is terrified for her wolf. She tries to stop the hunting party, but when she reaches her house she finds a naked, shivering teenage boy on her porch who has been shot in the shoulder.Grace learns that the boy, Sam, is her wolf and that he has been watching her from afar for all these years. Every year during the warm summer, Sam is his human self, but once the temperature drops, Sam turns into a wolf for the winter. i love this book! it is so emotional and i read it all the time! no one can every get bored with book! i would recommend it for all ages 12+.
I first found shiver when i was inside the Borders bookstore looking for a good read. I had practically a majority of the books there and i was hoping they would have something new. Low and behold they did. It was Shiver. At first i thought that it was another book talking about vampires. Do not get me wrong i love vampires but i was getting tired of reading books solely based on them. Sure enough i then read the little teaser that every book has and i knew that this book was going to be worth my while. I immediately started reading it upon purchase. I was so excited to finally have found a book that had grabbed my attention after weeks of searching. Every single character fit the book. Sam, Grace, Olivia, jerk Jack, Even Isabel fit it perfectly being as she was as cold as the snow. I fell in love with the images that were thrust into my head by the wording of every single sentence, all of the flash backs that popped into Sam’s mind, i saw them exactly how they were portrayed. All the emotions that were thrown around felt as if they leapt off the page and into my heart causing anger, hatred, fear, happiness, joy and sadness to creep its way out into the open. The one thing that made me extremely happy in this book that i wish would be in many more was the fact that Sam Drove Grace all the way to Duluth simply to take her to a candy store. In most books the only reason a guy drives a girl that far is to either kill her, or rape her and thank God in this book that was not the case. It was absolutely adorable when he asked her to smell the individual smells seeping threw the room but instead she just wanted to smell him. That was my favorite part, however i did cry at the end of the book. Not a tear or two but i actually cried. It was so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time that i didn’t know, for a little bit, which reason i was crying for. I have read Shiver at least 15 times and each time i still cry, i still laugh, and i still get the same emotions as i did the very first time that i read it when i walked out of the Borders store. I am 18 years old and never have i cried while reading any book besides Shiver.

At my work we have started a book club, not on purpose it just happened. We all read the Twilight series and still talk about it daily. We have inspired a large group of people to join even outside our work. I had my doubts in the beginning because I don’t like to read so I bought audio books.. However, This looks like it could be our next group series. I am sooo excited to read it or shall I say listen to it on tape because I don’t read but I can hardly wait.It sounds like it will inspire me to escape into another adventure.

When I first heard of this book I thought: ‘Okay, I’ll try reading it. Maybe it’ll be something like Twilight with all the mystical werewolves and what-not.’ I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this book (in my opinion) is MUCH better than any twilight book. Even though it is a fantasy book, I fell the characters were easy to relate to. I really like the fact that the book draws you right away, and keeps you interested with page turning suspence. This book is one of the few that I just couldn’t put down. I highly recommend it to anyone who can read!
Shiver is about a girl and her love for a wolf. A wolf that saved her life from his own pack. Why? They both don’t know. Though they will meet again in an unexpected way.
I loved the book and I can’t wait to read the next one. It leaves you wanting more and more after every page. It also makes my state sound breathe taking. Which of course it is.

Shiver is a fix for anyone needing a sob, a ‘twilight fix’ or cheering up, or in need of a really good werewolf story. I loved it. i really could not put it down and when i finished it after a couple of hours, i wanted to pick it up again and relive the memories of Grace and Sam. Im honest…i do not cry at books. How could people cry over Edward leaving in New Moon? It was so obvious he was going to come back. But this book was tense…Maggie Stiefvater kept the reader in suspense for so long. You never knew when and if Sam would finally change. Without anymore spoilers, this book is gonna be big. What with the fansites, the movie and the book in general…i really hope this book becomes as big as harry potter and twilight.
I saw this book on Stephenie Meyer’s website and was like “Oh my gosh I have to read this!” then when i read it i was hooked! took me only a day. it’s the only wolf book i like! because im not really warmed up to them yet so this is the only one i really love. I purchased this book, not really expecting much, but pretty much based on all the positive reviews. I’m so glad I bought it, though, because it’s such a good book. Instead of vampires (which is getting kind of old), it is about werewolves, which is a very nice change. The writing is also very easy to understand but also very fun to read. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens!

Shiver by Magie Stiefvater is a great new take on the classic man to animal tale. (I hesitate to even call it a werewolf tale)
The circumstances regarding the transformation adds a new dimension, and the characters taking turn chapter by chapter is a nice device that adds to the story telling and plot development.
Maggie’s characters ring very true and nothing about their situations seemed out of the realm of possibility. (well I mean except for the obvious of course)
I’d recommended this book to anyone who like intelligent fantasy with a nice touch of romance.
Shiver is beautifully touching novel about love, acceptance and finding your place in the world. I loved this book and it drew me in with Grace’s obsession with “her wolf” that saved her from certain death. How she knew she could see more behind its dark eyes than just an animal. Maggie Stiefvater’s realistic portrayal of two young people who struggle to find acceptance from their families and friends is something many of us can relate to and something which is explored with taste and understanding. Grace and Sam’s relationship remains strong despite the fear that it could all be lost with the touch of a cold breeze. I found myself clinging onto this fragile relationship as much as the characters themselves despite the fact I knew in my heart the end was inevitable. I felt many emotions through-out the length of this novel, but joy was the overwhelming winner and I wait patiently for the second instalment to see how this unique love story will end.
I Dont think i ever really read a book until i read shiver it is an amazing tale involving the Mysterious Mythical Werewolves but with an amazing twist the full moon plays no part in this story oh no, its The weather thats the key

Then she meets Sam, who has the same magnificent yellow eyes as HER wolf, and straight away she knows it’s him. An unlikely relationship flourishes, and the two become almost inseparable. However, like all relationships, there are problems. Patch knows it’s his last summer as a human, it’s becoming too cold for him, and he is feeling more alone then ever without the rest of his pack. The two of them are becoming increasingly desperate for a solution, especially with the inevitable winter on their tails.
This book is so far one of my favorites, a great read. The relationship between girl and wolf is impossible, yet so believable, and left me wanting more. The story is well paced and packed full likable characters and beautiful scenes. And just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, there’s always a surprise waiting around the corner, ready to kick you into infinity. I highly recommend it, and I’m looking forward to reading the sequel.

Steifvater’s “Shiver” is both captivating and touching. It empowers both the mind and soul by suprising the reader whilst they flip through desperate measures and fast-paced environments. A great read, I definitely recommend it for both a young and old audience.
I bought this book in August 2009, right after it was released, with high hopes. Every one of those hopes were met and more.
Despite the summer heat I was transported to Grace and Sam’s world where the looming winter cold threatened to tear the lovers apart forever. Grace, a girl attacked by wolves when she was young, and Sam, one of the wolves that went against the others and saved her, watched each other from afar for years, separated by the winter cold and different skin. Sam is a werewolf by winter’s frost and a boy by summer’s heat. Shiver is a tale about Sam and Grace’s struggle to stay together and beat the threat of Sam losing himself forever by finding a cure, no matter how impossible it seemed. The entire story was plausible–the characters, the setting, the love, all conveyed in a beautiful manner.
Shiver left me, a winter baby, fearing winter’s frosty fingers myself and hoping more than anything that the heat of Sam and Grace’s love could melt away the icy obstacles in their path. A great read that I recommend to anyone interested in a well written, lyrical tale that goes beyond the usual YA novel and can actually transport you to Mercy Falls, Minnesota to the pack, the howling wolves at night, and the warmth of Grace’s bedroom and trusty Bronco.
Shiver is beautifully written. I really feel drawn to both Sam and Grace and their memorable, timeless romance! I would LOVE to have Shiver on audiobook. I listen to audiobooks all the time while cleaning around the house, going for walks or driving. It would incredible to listen to this wonderful story too! Great job, Maggie!

I loved Shiver. The wolf shapeshifting idea was unique in its own way (has anyone picked up another book with the concept of them shifting according to the weather? I haven’t). The love Sam and Grace shared was sweet, it was interesting how long they actually ‘knew’ each other, and how close they felt even though they were so far. At least, that’s my opinion.
All in all, Shiver was a book that literally gave me shivers, but of the good kind.

Sam and Grace are two chacters that you fall in love with from the very beginning.Sam and Grace have been in love with each other for six years, and when their finally together they must fight the cold winter weather and keep Sam warm. They both know that their time is almost over, but they keep on fighting to stay together.Their story on how they met, and how they strive to be together is heartbreaking, magical, and beautiful.
Shiver is one those stories that will captivate me forever. I am looking forward to Linger and other Maggie Stiefvater stories in the future.

This story pulls at your heart and finds you rooting for the two to find commen ground and meet…love does follow but you find that with each turn of the page that the story keeps you guessing right up till the end..can it?…will it? happen for the two young lovers? I cant wait for the next in the series. Wonderfully full and well written.

Wow. I the lenghts I went to, to find this book in the bookshops over six months ago…. And now it’s everywhere. I loved it and am desperate for a second book in the series. To know that Sam is with grace now. It’s just so romantic. But I want more or a happily ever after. Shiver was just so difficult. Imagine having to stay warm fir as long as you can. I would love to have the audio book. And to have it signed. Wow. Love the candy shop chapter!!!

The book is about a were wolf falling on love with a human and she was also in love with him, his name was Sam and hers Grace, and they met when he was human.
Shiver was a refreshing read after the Twilight vampire craze and the Team “insert-name-here” business. It gave werewolves a real life, and I could very easily believe Grace and why she would fall in love with the wolf before the boy. Sam was perfect, I recommended this to all my friends and we agree he is much more understandable and lovable than Edward or Jacob. You just rush through it, wanting to see more, worried for this new love that you’ve become a part of. I can’t wait for the next book, and would eagerly read this again and again, or listen! It’s beautiful and deserves more attention than it’s being given right now. Hopefully we’ll see Sam and Grace on the big screen soon!
I read Shiver over the christmas break after stealing it from my daughter. I loved it and felt myself being drawn into Grace & Sams world as if I was a fly on the wall. The connection between the characters is magic as if they are just meant to be together, and the heart ache that they have to go thorugh had me reaching for the tissues. I have since recommended Shiver to anyone wanting something to read and

Shiver, by Maggie Stiefvater, is a young adult novel describing in detail the destined love story between two teens.
Ever since being attacked by wolves as a little girl, Grace has felt drawn to the pack of wolves she sees outside her window, with one wolf in particular, the one with yellow eyes.
After a teen is killed by a pack of wolves, Grace races through the woods and discovers a wounded boy shivering on her back porch. One look at his yellow eyes and she knows in her heart that this boy is her wolf in human form. Fate has finally brought Sam and Grace together, and as their love grows and intensifies, so does the reality of what awaits them.
We find that Sam lives two lives. One in which he is protected by a pack, and lives in the forest with other wolves and the other as a human. During the warm months of summer, Sam lives in his human form, but as the seasons change from autumn to winter, Sam begins to return to his wolf form.
Sam and Grace’s relationship becomes desperate as realization that Sam’s time as a wolf makes it harder for him to stay human, until he no longer will be able to make his transformation, and he will forever be a part of the wolf world.
In this story of destined love, Sam and Grace are drawn to each other, and it does not take them long to realize that they’ve been in love for many years. With Grace at his side, Sam must fight to stay human by any means necessary.

Shiver is a wonderful book that capures your imagination, and heart! Shiver follows a teenage girl named Grace, who has always been in love with the wolves in the woods behind her house. One in particular, a wolf with unique yellow eyes! The wolf is named Sam, and he waits in the woods, with his pack all winter long until he can see his summer girl, Grace. He can only visit her in the summer because that is when he is human! I thought that Shiver has a wonderful plot that has twist that not even I could have seen coming! This book is a great wonderful read!

When I first started reading Shiver I must admit, it was a little confusing the way the chapters kept switching back and forth between the viewpoints of Sam and Grace, but I quickly figured out who was who. I started reading it by going to my local book seller every sunday and reading a few chapters here and there, before I knew it I couldn’t put the book down. I had to have book and after I got it I finished it that night. I love the book Shiver. It’s not a book that should be compared to Twilight, it has its own world for people to escape in. Even though this book is recomended for teens, adults should read it too. There is no age limit for a great story such as Shiver.

I loved this book! Grace and Sam kept me wanting more. It is one I could read over and over again. I am counting the days until Linger comes out.

Shiver was the first introduction I had to Maggie Stiefvater, and she was immediately added to my favorite authors list! Shiver was a beautiful love story. Though the characters were young, they were very mature and approached their relationship with a lot of thought, care and dedication. Her poignant description of the winter creeping up to claim the wolves (perhaps forever) really made you hold your breath hoping it wouldn’t win this time. I completely fell for this love story and am rooting for the couple! I can’t wait to read Linger.

I first purchased my copy of “Shiver” on iTunes. I didn’t really know what it was about, but the cover attracted my attention. I know you’re not suppose to judge a book by its cover and “Shiver “ proved to so much better than I would have ever thought. It is just an excellent book. It keeps you captivated from the very beginning. I could not stop listening to it and would love to have a hard copy as well. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I am especially curious about Olivia. I have recommended “Shiver” to all of my friends.

Maggie Stiefvater has created a masterpiece in the form of Shiver, the gripping inspiring novel that is set to follow in the footsteps of other fairytales for teens such as twilight, but secretly we all know its slightly better. The book itself is fantastic following the two characters grace and sam who are both completley different yet they are the same. You instantly fall in love with creative, friendly sam he is the boyfriend we, as teens never have! I dont think maggie minds if we share though… A great read for teens through to adults who love to read a good, realistic love story.
The book shiver is an amazing read for all ages. It follows the story of a girl named grace who is forever and always, in love with her winter wolf, sam. As the story unravels, Grace realizes their is more to this wolf than meets the eye. Her wolf if actually a boy named Sam. reading shiver was a great experience for me. i experienced love through the eyes and words of grace. the story takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that leaves you flipping for more.
Love this book! perfect mixture of romance and suspense. great for teens and adults.

Just finished Shiver yesterday. I had to re-read the last 2 chapters a couple of times to soak up as much of the warm fuzzy goodness of the BEST happy ending EVER! Shiver is one of those stories that I find I can’t stop thinking about. I’m impatiently awaiting Linger, considering pre-order!

“Shiver” is a story that shook me to the core. The lyrical language of the book seeped into every pore of my soul, and transported me into a place that was as tragic and as it was beautiful. Maggie Stiefvater created an extraordinary world in a very ordinary place. The main characters, Sam & Grace, are the oxygen of that extraordinary element. I almost feel like I’m belittling the power of this story by calling them ‘characters,’ because I was so moved by their relationship, I actually felt the prickle of tears by page 5! I never knew baking a quiche could be so romantic!…and that is because Maggie introduced me to such warm and lovely people. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to get to know them, to cry with them, and to be inspired by them. It’s safe to say that “Shiver” pretty much changed my life.
I absolutely LOVED Shiver! I had a very hard time putting this book down, but unfortunately I had to go to work, and take care of my son…well, and sleep (a little). This is one of my all time favorite books and I cannot wait for the others in the series!!!

Shiver was a fantastic heat warming story that I love. It made me happy and sad. it was and is an amazing book with beautiful writing. Maggie Stiefvater has real talent and i am so happy that i was able to, for a few hours be in her magical world of love and friendship. it is one of my favorite worlds to become a part of. i really do love this book!!!
I read Shiver shortly after reading Twilight for the first time. I was skeptical about reading another werewolf book since I didn’t want to end up reading the same story over and over again, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a take on the classic werewolf story that I’d never heard anywhere else, and the writing is absolutely beautiful. Grace and Sam have a love that really transcends the book and will transition wonderfully to a movie. There are parts that moved me to tears (not an easy thing, that) and the ending made me ache for the sequel. I definitely give Shiver an A+
Shiver was such an intricate book; I couldn’t put it down! The classical love story between a human and werewolf was mesmerizing! There were parts that made me laugh and cry and fall in love with the book all over again. Grace and Sam are such lovable characters! I was pulling for them throughout the entire book. Shiver is an amazing book. It tells the tale of Sam and Grace. Two lovers with a supernatural bond. Sam by winter is a wolf but by summer a human. Grace, a human, is among the unpopular crowd. This story has suspence, romance, and danger as the characters fall deeper and deeper into their supernatural affair.
One of the best love stories I’ve read in a long time. Strong characters and a storyline that keeps your interest from start to finish. Can’t wait for the next book!
Normally, I’m partial to Vampire books & I was worried that Shiver wouldn’t hold my attention without any Vampires. But I was dead wrong. I loved this book! I can’t wait for Linger.
For once, I’m not going to compare this book to Twilight or something similar, because I would prefer to let it stand on its own. Shiver is brilliantly interesting, because it draws parallels to reality. Sam is the boy one knows they’re not allowed to have, but so desperately wants, and Maggie Stiefvater does a remarkable job of conveying that feeling. As the story continues, Sam and Grace fall deeper and deeper into this supernatural affair, and the plot thickens to the point where I didn’t want to put it down.
I would recommend it to anyone on any day of the week.

Maggie Steifvater has enchnancted us all by writing this great book, Shiver. Following the story about a boy whos a wolf, and a girl who wants to be, it is a true gem in my bookshelf. I’ve actually had the privellige to read Linger, the sequel to this amazing tale, and believe me when I say that it is amazing. I’ve convinced almost my entire grade, including boys, to read this truly facinating tale. Shiver is a story that many Twilight fans enjoy.

Shiver is a new twist on the shape shifters/wolves phenomenon that has begin to captivate readers of all ages. It is a cleverly told story with lots of questions, suspense and anguished love story. I couldn’t put this one down and today I found out that there is to be a sequel and also hopes of a movie… Heaven… I cant wait for both.

Different people all over the world take the loans in different creditors, just because this is easy.
I was trying out my new function on my iPod – being able to read PDF books. I’ve heard all about the Twilight hysteria, but nothing I could care less about.
Then I heard about Shiver, a book written by Maggie Stiefvater. The cover didn’t look special, but that was what caught my eye. It was something about the cover. So I decided to read the book.
From the very first page I was hooked. I could feel the loneliness in the Girl (Grace) in the book. But I could also feel the loneliness ache inside the boy.
You could really feel it ache inside yourself, like you were one of the characters.
Before they got together.
Then you could feel the warm love spreading inside you, heating up the surrounding air, feelings that were so alive, but yet not. Only written, written on small pages.
At the moment, while I am writing this, it’s summer and really really hot where I live and I was sitting outside reading, but still I was shivering because it was so real, the book and the characters.
The fact that the chapters are divided between Grace and Sam is brilliant! In that way you can get to know both of them, making everything even more intense between them, and the reader.
Now when I’ve finished the book, I feel lonely. Feels like I can almost feel the same loneliness that both of the main characters did.
Sometimes when you read a book, it feels like you’ve read it before, plenty of times. You simply reconize the story. This book is different, it feels like a whole new world reveals before my eyes while reading.
A world I want to know more about, a world I would like to live in.
It’s hard to describe this book, nothing have ever left me this way before. I’ve never been in love, but now I think I just fell in love.

Shiver is the most heartfelt teen fairy tale in a very long time.
Shiver is so pure, so incredible, that you spend days wishing, dying to be a character. The love connection between Grace and Sam is so real, that you can smell the forest, see his beautiful eyes, and feel the warmth and glow that radiates off of them.
Shiver is the kind of story that makes you never want to leave your room, bookstore or where ever you are reading it. It gives you butterflies every time Sam speaks to Grace, and makes you wanna cry when you hear about his past. You feel angry and sad when Graces parents dont understand her. You feel every single tiny emotion that they feel. Just like the connection between Sam and Grace, you, the reader, have a connection to them.
After you read this beautiful story, you feel like you aren’t finished. You have the urge to re-read and search until you find something you miss. It’s like a hunger, a pain, that you must fill, or else you cant feel complete. Linger is the perfect solution for this.
When Maggie Stiefvater cant write anymore and you know the story is done. I know i will shed more than one tear, but I will be happy aswell, because i was given the chance to share this love, and this amazement, even if it was only for a period of time. But until then , this book holds my heart, and i hope to find my own Sam and i can be his Grace.
